[edit] Background

The Golden Ball winner for most valuable player of the 2007 U-17 World Cup even though the German team only finished in 3rd place, Kroos has had a meteoric rise through the German league from his early beginnings with Greifswalder SC. Now the property of league giants Bayern Munich Kroos has been promised the Bayern number 10 shirt once his loan spell with Leverkusen is concluded and figures to be a large part of their future ambitions.

[edit] Football Manager 2010

German wonderkid Kroos has once again been given a -10 in potential by SI but on FM 2010 Kroos is very, very difficult to acquire. Even after you wait for his loan with Leverkusen to finish you will find Bayern very reluctant to part with him. If you do have him, Kroos is best played as a primary central playmaker with a minimum of defensive responsibilities given his low stamina, work rate and tackling attributes. In that role he will pull the strings quite nicely though, doing the job right away for almost any club and growing into one of the 2 or 3 finest players in the world.
