While not possessing the highest PA, Spurr is capable of playing well above his level because of the way that his stats are distributed. A strong tackler and good in the air, Spurr is an excellent signing for any Championship club and can be quite useful for even midtable Premiership outfits.

Football Manager 2010

Much the same as last season, Spurr is a very useful defender for any Championship side and can play into the Premiership only this season his CA and PA have both been increased giving him even more room to improve. As an added bonus, the financial woes of Sheffield Wednesday mean that he can often be had for a knockdown price.
