[edit] Club Information
Real Madrid were founded in 1902 and play in La Liga a league which they have never been relegated from. They have won the league a record 31 times, Copa Del Rey 17 times. They also hold the record for the most Champions League wins with 9. Real Madrid also have the record for the highest fee paid for a player in football when they paid £45.8M for Zinedine Zidane in 2001.
[edit] Football Manager Budgets
[edit] 2008
You're given £10.25M to win the league and it cannot be changed unless you request more from the board.
[edit] 2009
To win the league you are given £48M and again you cannot change it unless you request more form the board.
[edit] 2010
The transfer budget is £8.75M and the board will not give you more if you ask for it. Instead you can get more transfer money by asking for more wages and adjusting the budget accordingly.

[edit] Sales and Signings
With the squad being so big, a lot of this is personal preference with regards to the players at your disposal. Personally, I'd be inclined to ship out Van Nistelrooy (who's getting on a bit and will not play much at all for you) or Raul, with Higuain and Benzema being the starting two forwards, and one of your CM's (either Guti, Van Der Vaart, Gago or M. Diarra). I would advise against selling Van Der Vaart as he is the perfect back-up for Kaka, but then again he is the CM who will most likely bring in the most cash.
In terms of bringing people in, I'd look towards a top class AML and Vargas fits the bill perfectly for around £10 million. If you do ship out Van Nistelrooy or Raul then bring in a young good centre forward. Guiseppe Rossi can be bought for around £13million and can already compete for a place in the starting XI, or alternatively if you don't want to bring anyone in then you could think about promoting Alipio from the U-19's as he looks like he has the potential to be a good striker given the right training and enough experience. One last position that I feel needs addressing is the CB position. Pepe and Albiol make a decent partnership, but Metzelder and Garay are fairly poor and make mistakes which can cost you 3 points. Mexes would be a good buy here, and he can fit into the starting XI straight away and offer Albiol and Pepe competition for their places.
[edit] Tactics
[edit] Football Manager 2009
[edit] Tactic One
This tactic makes effective use of the wingers to get to the byline and get the ball into the box for Van Nistelrooy and Raul to head or tap them in. This tactic also uses a playmaker which you should make Sneijder. From the centre of midfield he can get forward and with his amazing shot from the edge of the box.
[edit] Tactic Two
WIth this tactic it again makes use of the wingers, it could be used for away games to quickly counter attack on the opposistion. Van Nistelrooy should be set as the target man to make most of his ability in the box.
