 Club Information
Rangers are a professional football club based in the city of Glasgow, Scotland and they are one of the most successful football clubs in Europe enjoying a long and proud history. Originally founded in 1873 Rangers quickly established themselves as a competitive force in Scottish football and since their inception they have developed into one of the two top teams in the Scottish Premier League, along with bitter city rivals Celtic FC. Along with Celtic, their longest and most fierce rivals, Rangers form one half of the infamous “Old Firm”. Rangers have achieved a lot of success domestically lifting 53 League titles, a world record, confirming their place as the most competitive football team in Scottish football. Along with bitter rivals Celtic, Rangers dominate the Scottish Premier League and the title race each season is usually between these two clubs.
 Financial Problems
Rangers have very well documented financial problems, which have led to the club desparately looking for a buyer. Rangers owe 30 million pounds to banks and manager Walter Smith let slip in an interview that 'The banks were running the club'. The situation has led to Rangers' owner Sir David Murray desparately seeking a buyer for his 83% share in the club.
Same as rivals Celtic, When you start the game you have to go through the third qualifying round, which is quite easy, considering your squad and the level of competition.
Win the league and there is automatic group entry.
You go straight into the Champions League Group Stages.
 Football Manager Budgets
You are given £4M to win the league, which you cannot change as they won't give you extra transfer funds when you request it.
You are given only 1m to win the league. You have no choice of any other budget and the board will not increase your budget.
Even though the new chairman has taken over, you have no money to spend. Unlike last year the chairman status is set to "Loves The Club" which means basically you have no chance of a takeover at the start of the game.
