Club Information

Lyon were founded in 1899 according to fans and sport historians, but were nationally established as a club in 1950. Lyon play in Ligue 1 of the French football system. In recent times, Lyon have established themselves as the biggest team in France, by winning seven successive league titles. They play their home matches at the Stade de Gerland, which has a capacity of 41,044. Lyon are currently managed by Claude Puel, and captained by Sidney Govou.
