Miguel Veloso (May 11, 1986) born in Coimbra is a Portuguese defensive midfielder who plays for Sporting Lisbon. He started out as a centre back but eventually moved on to as a defensive midfielder and can therefore play both positions and he is also an accomplished left-back.
During the 05-06 season, Veloso was loaned Olivais e Moscavide. He was one of the most influential members for them that year. The next season, he returned to Sporting and was given the #24 jersey. He however found it difficult to play as more experienced players were ahead of him. In the 07/08 campaign, he played regularly alongside fellow countryman Joao Moutinho and has attracted interest from clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and A.C Milan.

Veloso possesses many strengths, such as marking, passing, positioning, creativity, composure and strength. He can be used as either a defensive DM or an attacking DM. He is a well-rounded player. He's a young and versatile player who although doesn't develop further dramatically, does improve enough to become one of the best or the best defensive midfielders in the world. He is a consistent and a reliable player.

Veloso doesn't possess many weakness, if any. However if used as an attacker, his flair stat does let him down a little. However that is compensated by his high creativity stat.

I don't believe Miguel needs any specific player instructions. I believe he succeeds well at the team's default, but however if desired I believe any individual instructions given will prove successful. He is best played as a defensive midfielder. But can also play centre midfield if needed.

At the age of 21, Veloso has the potential to be the best in the world. He has a fantastic passing ability, creativity, marking and others. He is very well rounded and can be purchased for roughly 9 million pounds (at the start of the game) and will be a star at any level.
