[edit] Background

Marcin Chmiest is a Polish striker who is currently playing in the Polish 2nd Division, for a team called Arka. At 28 years old he has seen his fair few clubs, and is now settled in Poland, after a loan spell at Braga. He started his career just 6 years ago, signing for Belchatow in Poland. He moved to Legia 2 season later, but failed to impress and was sold on in the same season after 10 games without a goal. Odra Wodzislaw was his next club, and he was there for 2 seasons, before his loan spell at Braga. Since coming back from there he joined current club Arka.

Chmiest's stats

[edit] Strengths

Marcin is very strong playing of the last defender. If he is set to run onto ball, then he is sure to perform. He is at the key stage of his career for him to impress. He has decent finishing ability along with good composure. This shows when he is one on one with the keeper, where he normally finishes with ease. He is also good in the air, so to target him from corners and free kicks is also another possibility.

[edit] Weaknesses

He is getting to the vital time of his career, so he probably won't improve stats wise. He isn't very good when being played with ball to feet as his first touch can sometimes let him down. He is poor at taking corners and free kicks, but has a decent success rate at taking penalties.

[edit] Player Instructions

These are the instructions that I use for Chmiest. He is also set to target man, run onto ball. Make sure that all of your midfielders are playing through balls often, and your onto a winner.

[edit] Conclusion

I think that for 130k he is one of the steals of FM08. He signs for Championship teams, and it is easy for him to become the top scorer in the league and maybe fire you into the Premiership. I think that if you have the chance, you should definitely sign him, as he has shown me that he can perform at the highest levels, getting 20 goals on 2 separate occasions for my Man City and Ajax teams respectively.
