Mamadou Sakho is a French professional football player of Senegalese and Guinean descent who currently plays for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain. He plays as a centre back, but can also play at left back. He also serves as captain of the French under-21 team and holds the record for being the youngest player ever to captain a Ligue 1 club. Sakho was originally a striker, but due to Paris Saint-Germain's youth team having fewer defenders than strikers he was moved into a more defensive role, to which it now seems he s better suited.
Sakho has been active with France on the youth level. He has received caps with the U-16s, U-17s, U-18s, and the U-19s, and also with the U21's, with who he is now the current vice captain at the young age of 19.
 Football Manager 2010
Sakho possesses many strengths as a centre back, such as marking, heading, tackling, influence, determination and strength. He can be used as either a CB or a LB, although his stats indicate that he makes a much better BC, due to his low crossing and dribbling stats. He is a well-rounded player for someone that is so young. He's a young player who develops dramatically in the future, eventually being crowned the best defender on the game in many people's eyes.
Sakho doesn't possess many weakness in his position, if any, although some stats may appear a little low, they will increase over the years with furute experience and training.
At the age of 19, Sakho has the potential to be the best in the world in his position, as long as he recieves the correct training and enough first team experience. He has a fantastic tackling, influence, heading and marking for his age. He is very well rounded for a DC and can be purchased for anything between 7-12 million pounds at the start of the game and will be a star at any level in years to come.
