Club Information
Liverpool are a professional club from Liverpool in England. They play at Anfield, which is famous for the Kop. Liverpool are very well known around the world, especially for their good form in European competitions as they have won the European cup 5 times. They were founded in 1892 by John Houlding. They have two co-chairmen: George Gillette and Tom Hicks. Rafael Benitez is the current Liverpool Manager. Liverpool Football Club is the most successful English football team, having won 4 European Cups and 18 league (English Premier League, formerly First Division) titles. The club was especially dominant in the 1970s and 1980s. Great players from this time include Ray Clemence, Mark Lawrenson, Graeme Souness, Ian Callaghan, Phil Neal, Kevin Keegan, Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush.
Football Manager Budgets
2008
Using Football Manager 2008 patch 8.0.2 we can get a budget of between 28m - 35.5M. Liverpool are a slightly harder team to win the league with, so I would start off with taking the smallest budget of 28 Million. I think this should be for a title challenge and by bringing in the right players this could easily be done.
2009
Livepool don't get much money it is between 3.8M and 5.25M due to them spending a large amount on players in the summer. However, money is easy to raise... players like Pennant, Aurelio, Itandje and Alonso can be sold for way above their transfer budgets by teams like Man City and Tottenham. You can always request extra transfer funds off the board, and if you ask for more wage funds you can transfer the extra funds into the transfer kitty. The best way to get money at the start is by selecting 'Title challenge' as the season expectation.

Tactics
4-4-1-1
I think this tactics will the two defenders playing as wing backs would give Liverppol a good attacking force and as well as letting them use there explosive oace and finishing to kill off teams easily and play a possession game. With the current squad I would choose a squad of: in goal Jose Reina, Playing the wing backs Dossena and Arbeloa as these will be able to get up and support the forward players in attack. Playing as centre back would be Carragher and Agger as they will be very strong in the tackles. In the midfield Lucas would be on the right, and Riera on the left to use his speed and precise crossing, and in the centre would be the two playmakers Steven Gerrard and Xavi Alonso. In attacking midfield I would have Fernando Torres to use his speed to get up alongside Keane Up in attack.
Captain - Steven Gerrard
Vice Captain - Jamie Carragher
Free Kicks - Gerrard
Left Corners - Riera
Right Corners - Gerrard
Penalties - Keane , Torres
