In January 2007, Thomson joined Rangers for a fee of about £2million. Thomson's best position is as a central midfielder, and is considered a good player in the Rangers squad, even thought he is the 3rd best at this position at the club. His best stats are marking and positioning, so this would help adapt to a more defensive role. Manchester City and Ajax are interested in him at the start of the game, and he can be sold for £5.75million if you wish to offload him.
