Background

Born in Crawley, England, Muscat created a reputation of being a no-nonsense defender, renowned for his tough tackling. A career in the UK which saw him at clubs such as Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton, Rangers and Milwall. Muscat was lured back to Australia to become Melbourne Victory's inaugural captain for the 05/06 A-League season. He has since taken the club to Premierships in 06/07 and 08/09, making Melbourne Victory the most successful club in A-League history.

He's lost some pace over the years, but his ability is up there with the best, and his mental stats ensure that he will be the best captain in the league. His final season, managing Muscat's ailing body is the key to getting the best out of the team. Surrounded by a quality team, Muscat's influence will ensure that your team continues to keep playing football, despite being 5 goals down. Keep him the heart of your defence, and he'll marshal the backline. However, due to his impending retirement, a replacement will need to be sought sooner rather than later, to fill the considerable void that will be left when the club champion retires.
