[edit] Team Roster (Updated in FM 2008 Patch 8.02)

[edit] Goalkeepers

Francesco Toldo, Italy - The goalkeeping legend will end his career here in Milan, but the abilities of Julio Cesar means he will not be the starter for his last seasons.

Fabio Carini, Uruguay - The backup goalkeeper will never have the abilities to challenge Julio Cesar for the starting job.

Julio Cesar, Brazil - The Brazillian goalkeeper is one of the best goalkeeper in the game.

Enrico Alfonso, Italy - The high potential young goalkeeper may be the keeper of the future for Inter, depending on your moves in the transfer market.

[edit] Defenders

Marco Materazzi, Italy - The Matrix can still do a good job for Inter despite his age, but a replacement should be found within the first season.

Walter Samuel, Argentina - The 30 year old Argentinian is another capable center defender for Inter, but his age will prompt for another replacement as well.

Nelson Rivas, Colombia - The center defender lacks the capabilities or the potential to be worthy of becoming a member of the First XI of Inter.

Ivan Cordoba, Colombia - Another aged center defender that will need to be replaced rather soon, but his abilities will prove attractive for the first season.

Nicolas Burdisso, Argentina - The center-back is primed to replace one of the aged defenders for Inter when the time comes, and has the ability to play in any defense position.

Cristian Chivu, Romania - The Romanian star will be an anchor for the Inter back-line, being one of the few quality defenders that does not have the problem of age.

Ivan Fatic, Montenegro - The young defender can be nurtured into an effective defender, but whether he can challenge for a first XI spot at that point is still open to discussion.

Maicon, Brazil - The Brazillian right-back will be the choice for the starter at that position.

Javier Zanetti, Argentina - The old right-back can challenge Maicon for the starter position, if only for the first season as his physical stats dive. He does have the ability to play in a winger position as well.

Maxwell, Brazil - The talented left fullback will allow Inter managers to not worry about that position for 4 to 5 seasons.

[edit] Midfielders

Esteban Cambiasso, Argentina - The Argentinian defensive midfielder has stats great for that position, but better alternatives can be found for a center midfielder position.

Dejan Stankovic, Serbia - The Serbian midfielder, like many Inter players, is aged but can still play effectively for two or three seasons before requiring a replacement.

Patrick Vieira, France - The French defensive midfielder will prove an attractive option for that position with Cambiasso before his age requires a replacement.

Luis Figo, Portugal - Figo makes up his poor physical stats with excellent technical and mental stats. However, his age will force him out of the Inter setup within the first several seasons.

Olivier Dacourt, France - The aged French defensive midfielder simply cannot challenge for a starter position in Inter.

Santiago Solari, Argentina - The left winger does not possess abilities to be named as starter. His role will mainly be a backup.

[edit] Strikers

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden - Arguably the best striker in the game, Ibrahimovic has the stats of a legend, and will be effective in whatever tactics you place him in.

Julio Cruz, Argentina - Cruz sits on the other side of thirty, but can still score goals with his high finishing stat before his physical stats take a dive.

David Suazo, Honduras - The striker has excellent acceleration and pace, but his technical stats do leave much to be desired.
