Gareth Barry is a English Centre Midfield who currently plays for Manchester City. Gareth within the team is regarded as a main asset to the club as he starts nearly all matches for City and is influential to the team. Though only moving recent to City Gareth has managed to appear for the first team over 30 times whilst also appearing for England on over 35 occasions.

Gareth Barry started his career at Brighton & Hove Albion as a youngster before being snapped up by Aston Villa in controversial circumstances. However despite that his time at Aston Villa was successful as he played 365 times for the club over a 12 year spell and as well in this time he became club captain on numerous occasions. However in 2009 he moved north to Manchester City after they brought the player for a fee of £12M and since joining has become a main player in the clubs huge ambition of success. Gareth's only honours are to have won the Intertoto Cup with Aston Villa in 2001 and then again in 2008.

Gareth Barry is a leading player and centre midfield in this years version of the game especially for Manchester City, Though not the best on the game he is up there. Gareth has strong abilities in years game for a centre midfield as he has excellent passing and tackling abilities as well as good mental and then reasonable physical abilities which do kind of let him down. That said at 28 he is not a player you are going to need to be replacing, rather more just build your team around him. Gareth can also play as a converted defensive midfield however he is not as strong there.
