Football Manager 2013 is the ninth game in the Football Manager series from Sports Interactive. The game was released on the 2nd of November 2013. An announcement was made on the 12th of September 2013 with details of the game and its release date. Sports Interactive released Information through a Series of Podcasts and Blogs. The Podcasts were available for free via YouTube. The blogs were posted on SI's site. The Demo was released on the 27th of October 2012. New features have been added to FM13 such as the "Challenge Mode" which allows you to take charge of a specific team and then try and save their season. The challenge usually lasts around six months but you can choose whether to continue the save if you successfully complete the challenge. Another new introduction is that of FMC (Football Manager Classic) which is a less time-consuming way of playing the game. It doesn't go into the same amount of depth as the normal version as there's no individual player training schedules, no team talks and no opposition reports. A season can last between eight to ten hours. This was introduced after feedback from online forums and other research. A Director of football role has been introduced giving players the option to pass on their workload such as contract negotiations and transfer fees. There is also a fully integrated network game in which it's combined with the Steam Network meaning set up will be easier and Worldwide leaderboards will be available.
