Background
A talented young striker, Salvio scored 11 goals in his first season in the Argentine Premier League playing largely up front for Lanus. Also able to feature out wide on the wing, Salvio possesses exceptional dribbling ability and plenty of pace and has attracted the attention of many top European clubs including AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United.
Football Manager 2009
Extraordinarily pacey and agile with an excess of flair, Salvio is most at home playing alongside a powerful target man or out wide on the wing in a Barcelona-esque 4-3-3 setup. With his -9 potential he can be a useful player for the future for almost any club and can be bought at the beginning of the game from Lanus for under £1 million.
Football Manager 2010
Salvio's club form combined with his success with the Argentina U-20s and his callup to the Argentine senior side has apparently caught the eye of the SI scouts and earned him a promotion to -10 potential for 2010. While no longer as cheaply had as he was on 09, he still should be an excellent early target for any club with dynastic ambitions.
