[edit] Background

Cavalieri started his career at Palmeiras, where he made his debut on 24 June 2002, in a 4–0 away win over Rio Claro. Cavalieri was capped 33 times in the Brazilian Championship, conceding 47 goals. On 11 July 2008, he signed a four-year contract with Liverpool, believed for a fee of around £3million. Upon his arrival Cavalieri was handed the number 1 shirt, a great honour, although he hasn't appeared as much as he would have liked for the first team in his first year at the club, although he played a handful of Liverpool's FA Cup and UEFA Champions League games.

[edit] Football Manager 2010

Although his stats are not the best for a keeper at one of the best clubs in the world, he has decent enough attributes to make a good back up for your number one choice, which is this case is Pepe Reina. He can be used against weaker opposition or when Reina is banned or injured, and he will still do a good job. His better stats are his reflexes, rushing out, ensuing he is good enough to prevent goals being conceeded from one on ones too often. His determination is a key factor in his patience to sit behind Reina in the pecking order, allowing you to keep him as a back up, untill you see fit to use him.
