Cyril Rool is a tough tackling, no nonsense defender who has been know to get in a fair few scuffles during his career and isn't one to shy away from a tackle. His record as a tough-tackler is confirmed with his tally of 25 red cards and 187 yellow cards throughout his career. Rool started his career as a youth player at Aix-en-Provence before a move to SC Bastia aged 18, a club which he made his home earning over 100 appearances in his 5 year stay. He moved to League Champions Lens in 1998 and played 94 times for them inbetween two loan moves away, one in September 2001 to Marseille, another in the 2001-2002 season to Monaco. He only last two more years at Lens before moving to Bordeaux for a season where he played 28 times, scoring twice before settling at Nice for four years. He re-found his form at Bastia and excelled in his time at the club before one final move to Marseille where he only played twice in the whole season. He is currently a free agent.
 Football Manager 2011
When signing Cyril Rool, his age should be taken into account and I'd use him as a substitute as someone to bring on near the end to muscle fast players and anyone else off the ball to prevent conceding late goals.
