Charlton Athletic were founded in 1905 and currently play in the Coca Cola League One. They play their home matches at the Valley, which has a capacity of 27,111. The club were relegated from the Premier League in 2006 and got relegated from the Coca Cola Championship in 2009. They are managed by Phil Parkinson. They team still have a large fan base and come close to filling their stadium in most games. In 2009-10 season they finished 4th in the Coca-Cola League One but lost to Swindon in the play-off semi-final.
