Club Information

Wanderers were founded in 1874 and were originally named Christ Church FC. One of the twelve founding members of the Premier League, Bolton have spent more of their years in the top division than they have out of it. Bolton have not won a major trophy since 1958. Bolton have made considerable progress since this date and in the 2004-05 season they secured an impressive sixth place finish qualifying for the UEFA Cup for the first time in their history. In Europe they got past the group stage of the competition but were finally knocked out by Marseille in the last 32. Recently they have started going a bit downhill again.
