Information

Auxerre is a French team who plays in Ligue 1. They were founded in 1905, and currently play in the Stade l'Abbé-Deschamps. Their manager is Jean Fernandez and their chairman is Alain Dujon. Auxerre were most successful in the 1990's winning one Ligue 1 and two Coupe De France. Last year, they managed a respectful 8th place. They play in a blue and white striped shirt. A famous quote by Eric Cantona said: "France doesn’t deserve Auxerre, only England deserve Auxerre". Cantona came out of Auxerre's youth system and became one of the best footballer's of history.
